At the beginning of the 9th century, the kings set up their respective capital in the present province of Siem Reap. For nearly six centuries, the kings enriched it by building temples one after another and each being more sumptuous than the other. Three hundred of these temples are spread all over in the Angkorian area some 400 square kilometers in the Siem Reap Province. The temples and their sanctuaries are best known for their architecture and sculptures.

Day 01: Siem Reap-Angkor Arrival + Floating village

Upon arrival Siem Reap International Airport we will pick up you from the airport and escort to the hotel for check in andrest. After rest we proceed the sightseeing tour to experience the Workshop at Artisan D’Angkorto discover the traditional Khmer techniques used for stone and wood carving, lacquering and gilding, The numerous items made in the workshops are inspired by the rich Cambodia heritage. 

Later we continue the sightseeing tours to TONLE SAP GREAT LAKE to observe the livelihood of Cambodian people on the FLOATING VILLAGE OF KAMPONG PHLUK. Tonle Sap is the largest and fresh water lake in South-east Asia. The area of the lake changes six times a year because of the monsoon season. Taking a boat to a fishing village to observe local lifestyles. Kampong Phluk is a cluster of three villages of stilted houses built within the floodplain of the Tonle Sap about 16 km southeast of Siem Reap. The villages are primarily Khmer and have about 3,000 inhabitants between them. Flooded mangrove forest surrounds the area and is home to a variety of wildlife including crab-eating macaques.

Day 02: Siem Reap-Angkor Tours

After breakfast at the hotel start a discovery to see South gate of Angkor Thom city. Have a walk a long the ancient road to take some beautiful photos with the Buddha faces on the top gate. 

Later proceed to see BAYON TEMPLE which is the main temple in Angkor Thom city with 49 towers stood on three levels decorated with 4 Buddha faces on each tower on top. Then visit BA POUN TEMPLE (A major religious temple during Khmer Empire), PHIMEAN AKAS TEMPLE(Sky palace), later continue to see TA PROHM TEMPLE (Known as Tomb Raider, where the Tomb Raider movie of Hollywood made). Taprom is the beautiful ruins temple with green especially during the rainy season. Its attractions to most tourists because of the trees grows on the stone, towers and galleries. It is the most beautiful for picturesque.

After lunch continue the tours to visit ANGKOR WAT TEMPLE, which is the largest and 7th finest wonders of the world heritage by UNESCO. Angkor Wat is the best preserved which is still standing in the center of the previous Angkorian period. You may stun in front of Angkor.

Day 03: Siem Reap-Angkor Tours 

After breakfast at the hotel drive to visit PRE RUP TEMPLE. The boldess of the architectural design of Pre Rup is superb and give the temple fine balance, scale and proportion. The Cambodians have always regarded this temple as having funerary associations but reasons is unknown. The name Pre Rup recalls one of the rituals of cremation in which the silhouette of the body of the deceased, outline with its ashes, is successively represented according to different orientations. Some archaeologists believe that the large vat located at the base of the East stairwa to the cetral area was used at cremations. 

Later we continue to BANTEAY SAMRE TEMPLE. Banteay Samre temple was built in the middle of 12th century by King Suryavarman II (reigned 1113 - 1150) and dedicated to Hindu God Visnu, with art style of Angkor Wat. The proportions of Banteay Samre are splendid. A unique feature is an interior moat with laterite paving, which when filled with the water must have given an ethereal atmosphere to the temple. All of buildings around the moat are on a raised base with horizontal moldings, decorated in some area with figures framed by lotus buds. Next stop is EAST MEBON TEMPLE, a lovely temple in the style of pyramidal, receding terraces on which are places many detached edifices, the most effective being the five towers which crown the top could any conception be lovelier, a vast expanse of sky-tined water as wetting for a perfectly ordered temple.

Take a break for lunch in a local restaurant near the temple area.

After lunch we continue the tour to PREAH KHAN TEMPLE, the biggest temple in big circuit built in 13th century by king Jayavarman 7th is now more famous for being the location of where many scenes were shot of the temples here and there truly is something for everyone. A walk around this maze like temple can hold many surprises. Later continue to visit Neak Pean temple.

We drive to the mountain BAKHENG for view SUNSET. You will feel fresh from the nice windy on top of the mountain and especially, the good photo being taken with the golden color over Angkor Wat temple. After sunset we drive back to the hotel and overnight on your own.

Day 04: Siem Reap-Angkor Tours

After breakfast at the hotel start along drive (37km from town), to experience the most famous temple of BANTEAY SREI TEMPLE (the Citadel of Women). This small pink sandstone temple (late 10th century) is considered as the precious stone or the crown jewel of classical Khmer arts with the delicate beauty of its carvings.  Later continue to trekking to KBAL SPEAN MOUNTAIN. Kbal Spean also known as a river of a thousand lingas, visiting Kbal Spean involves a hike up a jungle clad to the site of hundreds of ancient lingas and other images carved into and along a flowing stream so that they are actually visible through the water. There is also a waterfall. Take a break for lunch. Later continue to visit the beautiful countryside and experience the people in the area work on handicrafts for selling to the tourists.

Take a break for lunch in a local restaurant near the temple area.

After lunch we drive back to the town to visit ANGKOR NATIONAL MUSEUM. Angkor National Museum is the world-class museum that reveals the legend of Golden Era of Khmer Kingdom. Angkor National Museum takes pride in revealing the royal historical path of this Golden Era of Khmer Kingdom through the state of the art multimedia technology to provide visitors a full picturesque story of the legend in an easy understanding way.

Day 05: Siem Reap-Angkor Tours + Departure        

After breakfast at the hotel continue the tours to visit BENG MEALEA TEMPLE. Beng Mealea is a remote overgrown temple with a floor plan similar to Angkor Wat, but in a lush jungle setting. Exploring the temple involves climbing collapse passage, through vine covered doorway and around massive trees growing inside the temples itself.

Take a break for lunch.

After lunch we drive back to the hotel and rest.  Upon your departure time tour guide and driver will transfer you to the Siem Reap International Airport for next destination.
